Performance Standards for the Local Lymph Node Assay endorsed
The ECVAM Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC) has endorsed the
scientific validity of the harmonised ECVAM performance
standards for the Local Lymph Node Assay (LLNA) at its 29th
meeting held in November 2008.
The LLNA is a scientifically validated and regulatory accepted
method for assessing the skin sensitisation potential of
chemicals.
Detailed information can be found on the ECVAM's website NEWS/EVENTS
and MEETINGS section.
Please note that any test method submitted to or validated by ECVAM
must be reviewed and endorsed by its Scientific Advisory
Committee before they can be used within the regulatory
framework.
As
soon as more background documentation will become available for
public access, we will update the website.
