The Institute of Pharmacy of Freie Universität Berlin in cooperation with the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, BfR, Berlin, again offers workshops about in vitro alternatives.

These training courses are part of the INVITROTRAIN Project which aims at the demonstration and dissemination of alternative (non-animal) test methods for chemical testing and prediction of toxicity.

 

The first training course “validated alternative test methods in topical tocixity” will take place from October 29 to October 31, 2008. The practical training focuses on the Skin irritation test, the 3T3-NRU-Phototoxicity Test and the HET-CAM-Test.

 

The second course “reproductive toxicology” will take place from November 6 to November 7, 2008 and focuses on the Embryonic Stem Cell Test (EST).

Participants from industry, governmental agencies and academic institutions are invited.
