Second Announcement

Welcome to the 15th International Congress on in vitro Toxicology, ESTIV2008 (former INVITOX Workshop), at Djurönäset in Stockholm 25-28 September, 2008.

PLEASE NOTE that the Congress will be held earlier than former announced.

Djurönäset Conference Venue is located 40 km east of Stockholm City, in the Stockholm archipelago.

PhD students are especially invited to participate for a reduced fee (
see below).
 
The congress is a joint venture organised by European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV), Scandinavian Society for Cell Toxicology (SSCT) and Expertrådet.

The Björn Ekwall Memorial Foundation (BEMF) award winner will give a lecture during the Opening session 25 September 2008.

SSCT Special session – 9.00-12.00 25 Sept, 2008
Scandinavian Society of Cell Toxicology will be hosting a special session on methods in cell toxicology,
9-12.00, 25 September, 2008.

All participants giving a lecture, either selected oral or poster presentation, are entitled to submit a short manuscript for publication in a special issue of ‘Toxicology in Vitro’ (official journal of ESTIV).

PhD students are allowed a discount on the registration fee (must be certified).

Travel Bursaries
ESTIV and SSCT wish to support some ESTIV and SSCT PhD students. Students wishing to apply for a travel bursary should contact:

Young Scientist Awards
Students presenting an oral communication or a poster are eligible for the Young Scientist Award.

Two Young Scientist Award will be given:
• The SSCT Young Scientist Award (oral presentation and poster presentation)
• The ESTIV/Elsevier Young Scientist Award (oral presentation and poster presentation)
